Witch bolt question
I didn't see any patch notes on twin spell or witch bolt so I need to ask, is this working as intended? Right now if I twin the witch bolt it hits two targets, but i don't get to maintain it on two. It seems to me it either should be maintainable or just not work at all with the metamagic and not be selectable, so is this working as intended or bugged?

You have to concentrate on each as if it's an entirely different spell, so you can only 'keep' one beyond the initial hit.

However, if you get your targets wet first, you'll still do double damage with the initial hit so twinning it isn't the worst idea.

Can't concentrate on two spells at the same time, but you still get the 1D12 up front damage on both of them just not the follow up damage on the next turn.

Honestly though, it's not a great spell to twin because of this. Orb is way better in just about every respect anyway, even without being twinned. In fact a whole lot of spells are better in just about every respect.

thats good to know, I pretty much gave up on this spell after using it to kill the tutorial boss, the double damage sounds fun to mess with.

Hold person is also concentration spell but can be twinned... definitely a bug

Nice necro from two years ago, but if it's a 'bug' it's been a bug for...two years now.

For a brief time in EA you could use it as you would expect although even then you had to twin each subsequent cast to do damage to two targets.

Would be nice if this particular spell would work as expected while twinned since it would at least give it a niche but at this point I think we're just going to have to settle on it being mostly useless as a spell.

Nope, it's a bug. Sometimes it work and sometime it doesn't. And it's not because it missed one of the targets. I have no clue why, but at times twinning it will work as intended and sometimes it will say "stopped concentrating" and just realease one of the targets.
