Teachings of Silvanus source?
In BG3 playing Druid and meeting Druids, we quote each other some book of Silvanus. Is that made up for BG3 or is there a D&D source for that?

ironic as their are other nature deities that have their own druids. And yes im aware silvanus is proberly the most popular but would add a nice roleplay element if you could choose.

The way I see it, druids are more likely to venerate all of the nature deities to varying degrees based on the individual since you need a combination of each of their domains for a healthy natural cycle.

Forgotten Realms has a lot of deep lore and obvious Silvanus has been around in the lore for a long time. Not certain if they made stuff up or sourced from else where because just how much material there is to work with in 5E

What I mean is, my Druid quotes some sacred text to this one Druid currently controlling the grove, and she quote something back, like there is a Holy Book of Silvanus or a text with his sayings. I just wondered if there was some lore book.

There are MANY pantheons in the multi-verse of Dungeons and dragons.

Currently, Baldur's gate takes part in the "Faerun" Version of the world, known as the Forgotten Realms. Others include Eberron and Ravenloft

In this pantheon, there are many gods, such as Selune the goddess of the Moon and Shar the goddess of Darkness (These names should be familiar).

This world is also home to Umberlee (The ♥♥♥♥♥ Queen) known as the goddess of the sea, as well as Bhaal God of murder.

In this world, Sylvanas is the Goddess of the wild nature, patron deity of most Druids.

Some druids may worship other gods though, like Talos, god of storms, or Malar god of the hunt.

As far as WHERE you can read up on these in-game, I believe there are SOME BOOKS in the Druid underground area that have snippets of teachings

There might be some lore books in game, but if you want a more indepth look into Silvanus, here is a link with some deeper lore:

Don't forget Silvanus's daughter Mielikki who allowed her Druids to wear any armor ranger could and of course the goddess that one of the most famous Drow worships (Dritz).
