I see several "good" potential companions. My guesses thus far, Halsin, Karlach, Volo, and the Tiefling atop the bridge at the Gith patrol. These, at least, I have seen hooks to invite them into the party. Gale and Wyll seem to be good. So there's six. Gale and Karlach are the only two that I'd be eager to invite. Maybe Bridge Tiefling, though we don't know much about her.
I'm not alone in hoping Minthara is an option, though she's obviously evil. It could be interesting having an Absolute worshipper in the party.
Gale seem to be lawful neutral. Wyll is definetly chaotic neutral.
You also need an Ajantis, or Edér to put the extra special snowflake characters in a proper frame of reference.
It bothers me that so far every companion in BG3 has some uber fantastical storyline, dark secrets (that are painfully obvious) or is a vampire or alien.
Even our over the top gay vampire elf has a chance to become good.
Where did they say that? Larian said that they wanted to try an evil path because they didn't have time to do that in DOS2. They didn't say that all characters will be evil. If you side with the goblin raid Wyll will leave your group. He isn't lawful since he has the option to torture some goblins. Someone who is lawful neutral will follow the law even if the law is unjust & evil. They do not care if it is right or wrong as they will just follow the law. This is not the description that goes with Wyll.
Shadowheart is a cleric of Shar... the church where you have to murder a ♥♥♥♥ ton of people to get in. Shar also takes away you memories so that you think she is just a right by brainwashing you. We have not gotten to her main story yet but she will have a dark one.
Astarion was a slave that was physically, mentality, and sexually abused. He is just discovering he new found freedom and I would consider him to be chaotic neutral. He has the chance to be evil or good depending how you take him in his story choices.
Lazel is a child that is starting to learn about the world. The only things she know are the things she was raised to believe from other Githyanki. Due to that she is lawful evil but has a chance to change her alignment after she gets treated like a lesser creature from others of her kind.
And Gale is good, approving of your good choices, as is Wyll. Sure, they have some bad streaks, but that's what makes them interesting.
Even Astarion and Lae'zel aren't all that bad. Depends on how you play.
Lae'zel is probably the most misunderstood. She is really like a little kid who thinks her mom is the best and can't do any wrong. During the game, however, seems like she is probably going to be doing some fast growing up. 😀
And Astarion just wants to be free ad enjoy life for the first time in 200 years.
