I think Assassin Rogue is going to become an extremely deadly class. Your first attack will always have Assassinate, since the game doesn't roll initiative until after your first attack from stealth is made, and that means the biggest drawback of the subclass is removed from the game.
I will always fight with a rock gnome wizard (/rogue) with a dagger and a dart. Just so i am disadvantaged enough to increase the challenge in the game. Easy is not my goal, so my builds will go a different direction altogether.
Larian said they're going to increase the limit of it past 10 a bit, but I doubt we'll see any levels past 13, especially 15.

I have seen that around 10 is the lvl cap but IMO I think most sub classes get something at 13-14 they my not include it but something tells me they will either it be DLC way later or in full access
Like, that would require more things to manipulate than just extra dialogue options
Wait how would being a goblin require a complete rework of act 1?
Other than the Underground, the main thing you are fighting is a crap ton of....Goblins?
Not sure if playing a Gobbo would require a 'complete rework' but there would be some creative story making on Larian's part to be had for a Goblin being a race that could be played without having issues going against other Goblins. But hey, it's all conjecture anyhow.
Besides, if a human character doesn't need creative writing to explain why they would kill human bandits, I don't see why the same logic couldn't be used for a goblin character.
Hexblade Warlock + Divine Sorc will be the strongest class in the game.
