Who killed Scratch the dog?
Went to camp to find that Scratch was dead in a pool of his own blood. Who (or what) killed him? Was it the owlbear cub, who is also in camp?

It is cute but still an owlbear lol. Ate its own mother so I doubt it would even hesitate about eating scratch.

I don't remember where I read it, but somewhere it was implied that having multiple pets in camp may lead to problems lol. I really wish I remember where I had read it now.

NP, the issue I have is trying to decide which I like better, though I own a dog so I think my bias may lean me towards scratch. For some reason even though its a fake dog it makes me happier when I have him in my camp. (My dog is my therapy animal so it may just be feelings from that relationship)

I agree it would be nice to be able to recruit a number of animals for the camp. Especially if you are a ranger or druid. They really liven the place up and make it feel more home-like.
Must have been Astarion!

i had both and i think as long as you can succeed on the dice when the owlbear cub comes to camp the dog doesn't die. i had both but the dog did not get killed so i think its possible to have both if you handle the cub well.

I suppose it would be some fun to blame some of the enemies for killing scratch (though obviously not true), then just go full John Wick rampage on them.

Lol I remember that he really cared very little the stole his car but went full on murder hobo because they killed his puppy. Don't mess with a mans dog or guns and sometimes partner if they have a really good one. My ex was a screeching demon sent to make the rest of my life miserable even now we are not together.

The moral of the John Wick series is don't mess with a man's dog. I don't know what I would do if someone hurt mine. But that it wouldn't be pleasant is an understatement.
