Killed Kagha? What do?
So I immediately just decided to kill Kagha cause I didnt like her. Hadnt even spoken to Nettie yet so Nettie is dead as well. Rath is none too pleased either. Will this be a problem going forward? Should I revert to a previous save proceed differently? How screwed am I? :)

Play it out. You are still looking for a healer but let your emotions get the best of you. talk with everyone you see, some people might be able to help with your healing and lead you to a certain druid whos not in the camp right now. After you talk with everyone you can always just explore aimlessly if all else fails. You are desperate and out of options and its blind luck that progresses the story.

You may be able to talk to the dead if you have got the necklace that allows you to do so or completed another quest which I won't ruin for you. Usually you can't speak to those that you have killed as they don't want to talk to you, but its my understanding you can speak to them now so that you can progress your quests so people playing evil or a bit too murder first ask questions later aren't screwed for the main quests.

You can have Shadowheart cast disguise on herself and she can speak to the dead even if she killed them.

Good trick to know, thanks

No. There are many paths through the game. This is one of them. It is not wrong, just different. I can't/won't tell you all the events down that path going forward. There may be effects in Acts 2/3 (don't know yet), but it won't blow the game.
What happened with the rest of the Grove after you killed Kagha?

This is spoilers, but there is a way to kill her and everything is fine. Just a bit of investigation, or exploring. Also, her chest is bugged.

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll push forward, see if I can use shadowheart to talk to Nettie or just continue going forward and see where it takes me.

I'll just come right out and say it: The druid portion is a complete distraction. You can progress the game without Kagha, and there are at least 3 paths through this chapter that actually hinge on killing her (siding completely with the tieflings but not having the stats to find the incriminating evidence against her, joining with the goblins, or failing to convince her that she's acting like a jackass when her mysterious backers show up. Oh and just murdering her cuz she doesn't like you.)

You won't find ANY cures for your partner in this chapter. Only little clues here and there as to what it actually is. Neither Kagha nor Nettie can do anything about it, and Nettie can actually be harmful to you.

Everyone and their dog (literally, i think one of the wolves even pushes you in that direction) is telling you to go to the Goblin Camp and deal with them. How you deal with them is up to you.

You can, in fact, absolutely murder everyone in your path and still progress the plot.

you can't make a D&D based game and not expect some murder hoboing to be going on, game expects there are multiple ways you could progress through it as others said and these will naturally influence events later down the line, goodness knows how Acts 2 & 3 will differ, that will be fun to see.

The big one i wonder about is the tieflings. How the druids are handled feels like it'll mostly be immaterial since no matter what path you take through the game, they stay put in the grove.

However, the tieflings are headed towards Baldur's Gate, and if you side with the goblins you slaughter them all. So I wonder how the game will react. There's already code for if Zevlor dies (since he can be killed during the fight with the goblins even if you're on the same side) and someone else takes over, so I wonder how they'll handle *all* of the tieflings being dead.

Maybe they'll be replaced with goblins when you finally get to baldur's gate.

If I remember correctly, the gobos and leaders said they plan on slaughtering all the way up to baldurs gate. So I think you are correct. You can totally wipe out the teethlings, gobos, and druids though.

rofl, who cares about the future? The story is rather short atm, just play out w/e madness you create and share stories if they are entertaining.

No matter what the saves will be lost in future updates.

Undoubtedly our decisions in A1 will affect subsequent events in ways that we are not yet aware of. That is an aspect of gameplay that will have to wait for A2&3, with even more run through's enjoying all the different paths. I expect anyone we don't slaughter in A1 will have some appearance later on - Goblins further on up the road, Tieflings continuing their journey, Shadow Druids, Hags, Flaming Fist, Zhentarim - and perhaps mates of them, who don't appreciate us killing their friends. I am sure many others. There are hella "story item"s that seem to have little relevance in A1, but may be important in A2/3. Save some doober, give it to a goober in Baldur's Gate, and get some help. Or a fight.

ACD,
You are currently on of my favorites. Keep up the good assessments.
Plus we still have to save the Leader of the Flaming Fist Guard of BG

Yep yep, will do. When I'm not busy playing BG3; 300 hrs and more to come. Still new things I want to try, but that well will eventually run dry.
