"can't load gustav"?
Game won't load - well, game will load, but I can't get into it. I get to the main screen, get "can't load Gustav", and when I try to start a new game or load a saved game it does... nothing.

Have you ever used any mods?

Gustav.pak is one of the files the game loads. Mods frequently use this file. It contains a bunch of Character data in this pak file specific to npc's, the origins, and the gear of these units. If you are not using any mods then you should check file integrity. If you are using mods i suggest disabling one at a time. If you are manually moding the game like I do just delete the public folder under data and all changes are removed.

Never modded - I'm too old to try to learn now. I presume I need to nuke the game and reinstall. Thanks folks.
