Read the store page. You will find your answer there.
A robe is a robe no matter what level the wearer is. There are different kinds of robes like the Robe of Summer, Poisoners Robe, etc. that looks slightly different from each other and the basic robe.
Is that what you mean? Because a robe or any armor is not going to look different just because the character levels up.
This is why I resorted to modding and other methods to revive that old experience, at least partially. For instance, it's cool to play as a Drow Paladin of Eilistraee and have some stats above 20 + get unique powers nobody else has in the game. As an entity with agency I want PC to be unique and also has the edge like it always was in the fantasy I liked before.
If I want a realistic game where nobody cares about PC and random NPC can cause a lot of troubles, where PC is just a noname gray background noise - I turn off my computer and step out the door. This isn't what I personally want to see in a fantasy game :p
The monk's hit dice are d8 and that never changes. Hit dice determine health and healing during short rests. What you are refering to are their martial arts damage dice which start as 1d4 for unarmed and monk weapon attacks and scales up to 1d10 by later levels (though monk weapons will use the default damage dice for the weapon if it is higher like a short sword being a 1d6).
