Is this bugged? I have the sheet but I cannot 'Read' the sheet when at the protected chest. The sheet options are to throw it, give it to someone else, send it to camp or drop it but cannot read it. I also don't get an option of 'reading' the sheet when opening the chest. How on earth is this supposed to be used to open the chest?

It might be bugged for you. I never encountered a problem like this. Try reloading an earlier save, double click it, drop and select it manually on the ground with left click to read it... Idk if this will work

Shar must have sabotaged it... I bet that netherese slat is behind the tadpoles too.
That said, it must be a bug, yes, "read" always worked for me from the inventory once I was near the chest.

I believe you also need to pass a religion check or perception/History check for your characters to figure out you need to read it near the chest to unlock it.

what class are you playing? I did a playthrough as a cleric of shar and of course you can not use the sheet. If this isn't the case, are you standing right next to the box? I do not recall needing a religion check to just read the sheet.

Make sure "Tav" is doing the reading. I've had a couple of times where another companion was highlighted for some reason and reading it from my inventory. Didn't work.

Double tap the prayer sheet in your inventory while standing in front of the chest and it'll remove the seal
