Purpose of Soul Coins?
What do you think will be the purpose of Soul Coins in Baldur's Gate 3?
I think they'll be used for purchasing "neutral" companions. Like there was this lizzard in DoS 2, which was letting you recruit mercenaries. But I think they'll cost Soul Coins in BG3 instead of gold.

Probably to bargain with Raphael, Mizora, or Zariel.

Conjecture, when you speak to the dead in the blighted village, the tiefling mentions something about true sight, no coin.

Or in a possible jorney to Avernus, soul coins could be used to buy very powerful items.

I'm thinking along these lines, but I doubt Raphael or Zariel would want some random person's Soul Coin. They most likely have a lot at hand so demand would probably be low...
Just speculating, I'm leaning towards the buying weapons theory; but who knows...

Maybe you can trick Raphael into accepting the soul coin. You strike a deal with him, 1 tad-pole for 1 soul. And after he rids you of the tadpole, you give him the soul coin. When he balks, you say something along the lines of: "I never said I would give you MY soul for the tadpole, just A soul."

Soul Coins are just that. Idiot beings whom decided to go into a pact with a Cambion, or possibly more powerful 'devil' and exchanged 'power' for their eternal soul.

Some may debate that if they can have "untold power" as a living being, then their 'soul' doesn't really matter. That is the limited view of people whom only think so far as in front of their nose, which is most 'people', in general. Those of us with 'fore-thought', yes, I know it's a rare skill set even for males (but it does happen, sometimes) know that we need to think 4 and 5 steps ahead from the original posit. Anything less is asking to be countered and for trouble, which nobody wants, yes?

These coins are traded by Devils and those in possession of them, for favours and other things, assuming one had the relevant 'coin' and the asking is within the 'price' of the coin tendered.

So, I have to ask. Where did you contemplate such a thing in my words. I would very much, as many others, wish to see what your actual meaning was. Because by your initial speaking, you sounded like a jerk.

I'm sorry, 9/10 Males are not known to think more than the step aside their nose. Women however, think far further. I was merely speaking of their wont. If you chose to raise a fuss about it, we can debate, but just know you will not prevail. I have Enumerable women whom can attest to this.

These do not mean the same thing. "Rare skill set even for males" implies that women not having forethought is the norm and that it is worth mentioning that men, despite their prowess, rarely have it.

Often unnecessary filler words can change the meaning of a sentence.

The issue I have with this theory is how easily Soul Coins are found. You can already have 3 of them before you even leave for the Goblin Camp. If you trade 1 Soul Coin for 1 tadpole, you'd be able to free 75% of your party in the very beginning of the game.

^ Don't fall for War Maiden's bluff, & no worries my fellow brother I'll help you defeat her too. Let's join forces together, before all her white knights & fellow women start defending her even when wrong lol.

You start making your points soon dabuzzlord, & I'll strike first! (*nervous sweating*) War Maiden is a tough cookie to put down, but we can make her crumble! She'll lose, but we need our fellow men who aren't simps to all combine our powers to make it easier. 👬 ⚔️

Well Sew, before you both become supposedly ready for a fight, your buddy needs to start using the correct words to 'label' people as dabuzzlord attempted to do with me.

so·ci·o·path
/ˈsōsēōˌpaTH/
Learn to pronounce
noun
noun: sociopath; plural noun: sociopaths

a person with a personality disorder manifesting itself in extreme antisocial attitudes and behavior and a lack of conscience.

I am anything but antisocial, and I have a good conscience, I would rather help my fellow man then ever see them hurting. Probably why I get no joy from video's of people getting hurt doing things, and other people find them hilarious.

You're being a jester for thinking such sillyness lol.

Wyll for example wasn't an idiot okay, you can't assume most are that especially the men! You make it sound like women aren't so easily tricked or can't be "idiots?" Which you know deep down is complete BS especially in real life.

Wyll is an idiot, as well as many other things, which is why I do not like him, as do not many others, because we see him for what he is. I don't assume anything in this regard. Plus, women can be idiots too, as there are plenty of them as well, some of us just take pride in our intellect and the fact we have a tactical mind that we use to analyze everything 3-4 steps ahead, in every possible consequence, to an action that could be taken.

Stop trying to put women on some sort of pedestal, it might not have been your intent but clearly you're like a Drow belittling men! Well excuse me Princess Maquina, don't act like you & your ladies 💩 don't stink any different lol.

I am not putting anyone on a 'pedestal', and to do so would be silly, as everyone is Human, and equally deserving of basic Human rights and respect, we still all bleed red. (Except Captain Marvel, she is a true 'blue blood' now, and not even rich, but still deserves basic human rights and respect)

If you want me to go into character as my Drow Cleric of Lolth, I can belittle you all day long if that's what you enjoy, some men actually enjoy that type of 'stimulation'. :steammocking:

Just curious...Why is Wyll, of all the characters, an idiot btw?

the demand of souls in the 9 hells is amazing because they are on the losing side of the bloodwar. Anything helps

Devil contracts are written in invisible ink. You think the deal would be as simple as that then you dont understand devils. they will make it SOUND simple. just like "all you have to do is stay loyal to me and il grant you warlock powers" sounds simple
