What would be the most drow-ish thing/behaivor you could think of ?
Title, that being said though, it does not have to be necessarily something evil or even amoral. :buzzed::AOESheep:

A fun scenario that is always floating around in my mind : My pragmatic (you might call it neutral evil) Cleric of Lolth and her companions reach baldurs gate after a long and hard jouney. She has romanced Gale so far, so he asks her out for a romantic date. Romantic date heh, how does this even work on the surface world. So she goes out shopping the day before, buys a nice dress and an extra fancy dog leash to impress her lover. I just cant imagine the look on his face when she would proudly pull that leash out of her pocket (and expect him to wear it). Duuuh this might get sooo arkward.

The most drow-ish thing/behavior that I see is how they belittle men by not calling them by their names! Which can get annoying, & wouldn't bother as much if I knew the intention wasn't to disrespect lol. Yet the Drow women obviously say it like we're all beneath them, like we're the scum between their toes.

Lolthian Drow females are not intending to disrespect them, Sew, because there is no respect to be had in the first place. One cannot disrespect something that never had it to begin with. Lolthian Drow males are beneath them, that should be plain by now. Houses have rank and their denizens, station, and all within are competing for Lolth's favor.

That kind of behavior would only be allowed for so long, & I think any man who didn't have their balls taken whether "figuratively" or "literally" by them wouldn't stand for it! A man's ego is very precious & sensitive lol, it can only take so much & then prepare for war. ⚔️

You seem to misunderstand the term 'Matriarchal Society'. Generally, the males do not attempt rebellion, because this is Lolth's society and she gives her Priestess's and Handmaidens power through favor. Males whom attempt to kill a female are typically sanctioned to do so by another female whom uses that male or males as assassins. This is fully sanctioned by Lolth according to the games of intrigue played out by the Houses.
Additionally, even male Grand Mages of the Sorcere know their place in Lolth's society and that they are just tools for furthering Her will.

I'm surprised Drow men aren't rebelling a lot, or maybe they did I think? Because if my MC was raised there I would try my best to be like "Spartacus" & take their whole empire down! I'd teach the Drow women about R-E-S-P-E-C-T, even if temporary since I'm sure I'll be dead soon. (*This song is dedicated to them lol.*)

The sad truth is you probably would not die very quickly, your pain and torture would most probably be set as an example to other males whom decided to try such a path. Whether killing you outright or not would also depend on if you were a male of a ranked favored House or just one of the common Lolthian Drow of a lower House.

As for the OP, I think I kinda gave a bit of an answer in my reply to Sew.
If not, I can come up with something else.

In Drow society, a woman doesn't love you, until she tries to kill you either by doing it herself or having you fight another dude to the death for her affection.

I thought Drow society was supposed to be fiction...

Oh? Did you? Well, Salvatore and the others whom aided them into crafting the Drow, had their own fetishes in mind when they crafted the 'Llothian Drow?' I'm not sure why Larian changed 'Lloth' to 'Lolth' but I am willing to adapt. Anyway, from my readings and research, most Llothian Drow, will never 'love' a male, as it gives the potential to be swayed by them. They will be more inclined to love another female, for it is a safer venue to travel both in heart and in favor.

i read a disturbing scene, which seem to happen now and then and that is where drows catch surface elfs, paralyse them, women let the males rapp the surface elf women when they cant move while they enjoy the fear and despair in their eyes....ofc when the males are done they execute the surface elfs unless they are "home" where they can continue to torture over and over, BUTT I dont think larian studious will go that dark :P

but pretty much using all who are not drow to their advantage, kill and torture for fun, spread general chaos to their goddess, the demon lord Lolth

btw only 2000 drows escaped the surface slaughter 10 000 years ago according to last book i read, they must sacrifice a lot of babes to lolth considering Menzoberranzan was only 20 000 drow "strong"

Sure there were other cities, but there should be at least two to twenty million drows around if we follow our own human increase in same amount of years :o

I don't know. I would not put it past Larian to do something that could possibly come close. Perhaps a cut scene involving another Priestess of the Absolute and a multitude of male Drow whom serve her doing raids in towns for loot and the like. Paralyzing poison darts are not uncommon to be used by Lolthian Drow on their targets, after all.

Additionally, I do not know if you have seen the new cut scene that if you do something to attack the Druids, their idol, or murder someone in plain sight *cough* Volo *cough*, that they put in a new scene where it's a one-on-one with a bo/staff wielding Druid and a dagger wielding Tiefling... the end of the fight is a lot more chaotically brutal and bloody than I thought I would see, which leads me to think there will be more of the same down the line and that they aren't afraid to make it messy.

I came here to watch ya'll be horny, and instead ya'll talking about dark ♥♥♥♥. Let's try this again.

Whenever I play drow, I just want to make Astarion say please at the party, and depending on how I'm feeling - still leave him by himself for the evening.

The most likely backstory for the main PC once this game gets released (patience is a virtue) is about a drow character who fell in love with an elvish slave. Once their relationship was revealed, the matron ordered the said character to kill his beloved slowly or face fate worse than death. The protagonist complied, suppressing his true feelings. In this way the main PC broke a promise he had given to his beloved to finish her quickly in a case like this. After the end of it all, he was tortured himself because his two hour long torture was not long enough.

Yes, drow lore is dark and full of terrors...

will see, but doubt they will go as dark as mentioned :P will try game again when full release, but for now I just got: Starlight Enclave (The Legend of Drizzt #37) - R. A. Salvatore......audiobook....cant wait to "read" more about jarlaxle :o

The time of drow elves being exclusively evil, murderous, Lloth worshiping degenerates (with the exceptions of Drizzt Do'Urden and, to a lesser extent, Jarlaxle) is coming to an end. I read an article about R.A. Salvatore, and he is writting a Drizzt book series in which Drizzt and gang come accross enclaves of drow who are not inherently evil, and don't worship Lloth. So, roleplayers who want to play non-evil drow in the Forgotten Realms settings will now have lore to back them up when a player writes up a background story for a campaign of DnD.

Seldarine Drow are already non Evil and worship Eilistraee, whom is Good aligned.
Vhaeraun, whom apparently is Evil, but I am unsure if he serves Lolth or not. This site says he does but I am unsure of the lore. Plus I heard Salvatore is updating Drow Lore or completely changing it in some cases, so we will have to see what comes of that...

However, I completely expect, and i'm sure Her Royal Shortness will agree, it will still be pervy, not that it's a bad thing.
