Does Gale actually blow up?
Anyone tried not feeding Gale to see if he ever actually goes kablooey?

I remember taking 2 long rests after he died while in the party. But someone on the youtube vid said it might be the 3rd long rest.

I think he actually means not feeding him an artifact, not resurrecting him. There are some surprises for you. AFAIK, this does not end with an explosion. It has other ramifications.

If you don't feed him artifacts quickly enough he throws an obnoxious fit at you about it and goes and makes a deal with a devil. Ugh Gale what is wrong with you, dude??

However, several dialogues afterwards don't take this into account and still act as though you've given him artifacts. It doesn't seem to have actual in-game ramifications yet aside from viewing that one dialogue/scene.

OR If you never make Game appear from his waypoint, you never have to worry about him dying and take a city block (or three) with him!

To OP: Apologies for the cryptic answer. I was too busy to answer, unfortunately. Luckily, others did it for me.

While in no way my favorite character (he is likeable version of the mad scientist trope), I can definitely understand his point. I guess he entered into the pact with Raphael to save his skin AND the thousands that such an explosion will kill. I believe I would be pretty pissed in his situation as well.
