Game developpment is not an easy thing, but I hope they will fix that soon.
Devil's Sight is a Warlock invocation, but I think there's a Feat that let's you take an Invocation as long as it doesn't have any specific Warlock requirements (such as a specific pact or Warlock level)? For example, you could pick up Eldritch Blast and Agonizing Blast (since the only requirement for Agonizing Blast is having Eldritch Blast)...or Devil's Sight (you'll have to get Darkness by playing a caster that has access to it...or by playing a Drow I think...)
I completely agree. Bonus action hide is supposed to be a Rogue only thing, not every class should be able to do it. And because Rogues don't have access to Devil's Sight (I don't even know if actual multiclassing will be a thing in this game), they can't benefit from Darkness.
However, I think Warlocks with DS should be able to benefit from it, even from a balance standpoint.
This combo is not free : it costs concentration (which is a big deal for a warlock because no Hex means less damage), also 1 Eldritch Invocation, and 1 spell choice amongst a lot of other really good ones.
True. The melee attacks would be at disadvantage, but that would not mean being immune to them, which is broken.
Multiclassing will be added by release - but what's to stop a Rogue from taking Eldritch Adept (other than maybe Larian hasn't added it to the game yet) and picking up Devil's Sight?
No, it works perfectly fine. You're doing something wrong.
