its homebrew though. Its based on a moster type called revenant.

Homebrew can be anything

Wait that's homebrew? Oh, I found it online but wasn't labelled as such, nevermind me then. - I mewan Maybe Vampire or Dhampir from pathfinder :p

Undead is not really a race per say in D&D. Its more of a state of being. I dont think we will see a player representation of undead unless something happens in the story.

To be more precise, I was thinking of a skeleton race (which is in the DMG but at least done a bit better haha)

The closest thing I could find in 5e for an undead race are the Dhampir & Reborn Liniage from Van Richten’s Guide to Ravenloft. Possibly even the Shadar-kai Elf from Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes.
