Goblins
Are they ever going to be added in officially as a playable race if anyone is aware? Not too caught up with the dev on this game, but I do know of a mod for them at least on the nexus.

They already are in 5E.

Here are the 5E playable Goblin traits.

+2 to Dexterity, +1 to Constitution.

Darkvision

Fury of the Small: When you damage a creature with an attack or a spell and the creature’s size is larger than yours, you can cause the attack or spell to deal extra damage to the creature. The extra damage equals your level. Once you use this trait, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Nimble Escape: You can take the Disengage or Hide action as a bonus action on each of your turns.

Ah, thank you. So, they're adding all official 5E races then from the tabletop? I wasn't sure if budget or anything would be limiting it to only a few select races and such for BG3.

Drow are sub race of elves.

And as was stated earlier, there is a legitimate story reason for them to be playable. Since much of The Absolute's cult is comprised of Drow and Goblinoids. And we've seen two instances in which a Goblin and a Hobgoblin were implanted with modified tadpoles.

We also met random dwarf thats part of the cult and two humans that served him

Aaaaand that contributes what exactly to the argument? Dwarves are already playable in game!

The cult is a mix of different races we are just seeing a few, We meet a Gnoll one and that doesnt mean it will be playable.

I highly doubt that they'll be adding all the official 5E races. There's just way too many.
