How to see the entire map?

Someone posted a screen of the entire map but can't figure out how to do that, it was detailed and very cool. They said there was a place to x out of the map and it would bring it up but can't seem to do that.

That's not what they had, no mod, just a zoomed out map that showed Baldur's Gate, the river and some towns.

Once you reach the goblin camp, go east (?) up the mountain and through the mountain pass -- it'll show that big detailed map, but you cant actually cut out a piece to zoom in on or anything, it's just an overview that marks the end of the EA.

go to the areas far west of the map , two of them are entrances to act 2 and arent finished and show a map

Right now there are only two specific places where you can see that. There's the mountain pass right behind the entrance to the goblin camp and there's the mountain pass blocked off by the Githyank patrol.
While there are two quests that suggest you go to the mountain pass to travel to different areas, they haven't been implemented in yet, so right now the map doesn't really do anything and we can't be sure what its ultimate purpose will be in the full game.
