Animations that can be easily rescaled -> all existing models use roughly same model in terms of skeleton, with exception for tails. And while for kobolds simply porting halfling animations will do the trick you have to remember that there are dialogs that MIGHT have special interactions meaning people would have to go through all of them again.
As much as we want centaurs to be playable its not really on the menu.
Now if there was some extra funding by some form i dont see why not, ONCE the game is released, but at that point those same people would be working on something new entirely (whatever larian is planning after).
