I just _really_ hope they continue to make this more D&D in feel.

this monster was always a very strong, higher level enemy. Its not supposed to be level 4 material. Also, the underdark is supposed to be deadly to the unwary and inexperienced.
In my play through I got it to 2 hp before it ran (1 downed character in the process). I met up with it again later, and it started at half health.
Was able to burst it down the second time. Lae'zal battlemaster helped with action surge and extra dice with both attacks.
I didn't use barrels for either part of the encounter.
