Failed insight. But I didn't...
So I have my party talking to Doni for the 2nd time. I ask him where he disappeared to. It had me roll an insight check, target 7. I roll a 20. And yet it says I failed.

Bug, or is it a scripted 'you lose' situation?

That's a script. Kill harpies he will show you secret passage if you save kid on beach.

Just to know that's something hidden exist beyond your perception and you need another way to resolve this. Or you can always think that's EA bug.

If that's the case, the conversation should be worded differently. Presenting a die roll which was passed, only to say 'nope, can't have it' is terrible DM'ing.
