Gale the worst rpg companion in history

Are the devs trying to troll us i wonder? I finally got my hands on a decent ish weapon the sword of justice and gale wants it to save him well next time he dies im not reviving him so no mage thanks a lot larion do you have any idea how annoying this is or how stupid i seriously wonder

I take a look at BG1 companions for research purposes and remind me a lot of them was boring, dull or just incompetent

It's an interesting mechanic, granted the payoff in the full game is worth it somehow.

If nothing special is gained after losing your high-tier weapons/armor: Then yes, Gale would be the worst character in RPG history. He would be worse than nothing, because him not existing means you and your other characters still have your high-tier gear.

i just uninstalled this game ive had it with characters i hate its like being thrown into a prison cell with 8 psychopaths

exactly my point its utterly insane especially as at this point in the game there is no other mage to replace him with

You can ignore him wanting that item. There are 3 items I have found in the game. There is the staff or crones that is in a room under the tea house. Sword of Truth that you have located. The amulet of selune which is in a locked room behind one of the leaders of the goblins. The final one is the idol the druids are using for their ritual. You can get this from killing the entire druid camp or there might be a way to steal but I have not found it. I think there is one other item I found but I cannot remember it. I am actually surprised that he does not want Sorrow. Seems like an artifact he would want.

Doesn't matter to me and have give him others items so you seems just have not explored enough ^^
