Weird Nettie Situation (Spoilers)

So I foolishly told Nettie about my problem. She decided to solve it with poison. I tried to open the exit. She decided she would just have to kill me without waiting. So I decided to use the option to knock her out in the fight, which WASN'T easy. She turned into a spider, went unconscious as a spider. I take her stuff, antidote the poison, and 23-skidoo out the back.

So I go off and do all the things and I rescue Nettie's boss from the goblins. We get back, he's very happy with me and very unhappy with the nasty druid who tried to murder the kid. (I savescummed on that one to prevent it.) He says, go rest up and we'll talk, but the other druid has got a reward for you. Hey great, I think.

So I go off to talk to Quest Reward Druid Guy and he says oh here's the other tablet to that room where Nettie is. I think hey great I can tell her that her boss is back and HE isn't going to just murder me. Well, Nettie is still a spider. With 1hp left. So I lure her out to the other druids thinking they'll either say "whoa Nettie stop being a murder spider to our HEROES" or maybe they'll just say "whoa Nettie is a murder spider, we'll have to murder her". No, no, they say "whoa Nettie is a badly wounded murder spider who is trying to kill our HEROES that we just gave the key to our riches to so we have to kill the HEROES." Wait, what?

It is at this point that I realize that the developers did not include "party just knocks Nettie out" in the contingency planning. So on reload I murder Nettie as I guess I was supposed to do in the first place. I kind of think my new druid buddies might be less than pleased when they hear but ok, she started it.

You did the right thing !
I was kind of lucky with rolls so she gave me antidote without a fight. But then after I saved Halsin she apologized and man was it tempting to give her a lecture "Don't mess with the heroes !" :D

You can also pickpocket the cure from her, upon which she relents and lets you go.

She's definitely bugged. I came back through later with sussar blossoms in my pouch (keeps them alive on the surface as long as you don't open and blocks their effects) and both her and the bird were effected.

Knockout doesn't seem to be a contingency planed on for <i>any</i> of the NPC's atm..

I tried the same on the humans wearing masks in the Hags lair after Killing the Hag, even looted their masks. Of course they still wanted to murder hobo me.
