A tip when stealing from merchants
Sometimes it's worth it to buy the items legit.

DC to steal that sweet piece of +1 armor? 15.

DC to steal back the 1300 gold you just paid for it? 6.

Yup. And don't ever sell that Ruby if you have no intention to re-steal it. Those two methods combined are really helping stealing everything of value.

That's a really good point.

Don't forget to cast guidance on the person you are stealing with

Haven't tried stealing yet did a little in DO2, but it seems like I have no choice with this game. Everything i sell, sells 3 times less and whatever I buy is 3 times more. Even well trying with all party members.
I don't understand why it's so ridiculous from the start. Remember had like around 300 gold. Saw something I wanted for 200 gold. But after putting it on the buy slot it jumps up to 600 gold. Couldn't even buy a single piece of armor. Not sure how this wouldn't bother other ppls unless i'm missing something?

Thanks! I would not steal... but the merchants in this game seem like robbers so fair game :)
I have robbed everybody blind, and now have 25000 gold :D

feel like you should push merchants to success/ruin with your actions. sell a bunch of weapons to a smith and he improves his craft and has better inventory on offer. repeated honest dealings may be rewarded with better prices or open up access to special gear. rob a trader and they would struggle to restock, possibly close/relocate.

That would be cool, I'd like to see that implemented if they could. I imagine it would be hard though.

I'd also like to see the items we sell to them get removed from their stock after a while... That druid merchant has more weapons than the weapon smith in my play through...
