Online Coop, do friends have to own the game ?
I would like to play this game with my friends, I wonder if I could invite them even if they don't own the game.

Thank you very much.

Yes, they have to own the game since they sign into multiplayer from the title screen of the game. Outside of the online multiplayer the game also works as a single-player offline game.

Tbh. You can trick it a little bit. Do familyshare with them and they can start it without steam. There is a direct connect option. At least thats what im doing with my GF.

Thanks for the tip ! I'll probably take the game in December along with Cyberpunk 2077. I'll try that !

Isn't it supposed to be split-screen co-op too, like Divinity 2?

Eventually. That’s not available yet.

How disappointing. One would have thought it would be an integral part of the game from the very beginning.

Well, technically speaking, the game isn't out yet and we're playing an unfinished product but will have access to the whole thing once its released.

This is an early access, obviously there is a lot of stuff missing (they said it would last a year or something like that. There are aspects more important than local multiplayer, moreover in our situation :p)
Still, I hope it will be introduced soon. There is something special in playing together on a "couch".
