companions attacking you at camp?

been searching for this, not sure what's up. i'm killing the various goblins in their shanty town after talking to the druids and went back to camp to rest, as soon as i got there Asterion said something like, enemy spotted and attacked me. glitch or did i do something to piss him off? oh he wasn't in my group, he was at the camp

I had just gotten the necromancer tome under the blighted village and went back to camp and Gale and Lazalle attacked. I saw someone else posted about it on reddit in late October. They believe it stemmed from the companions mistaking familiars for enemies. I had both a raven in camp as Gale's familiar (not in party) and two imps of my own in party with Wyll and my own. Gale getting killed in camp is really unfortunate since a) he can't be revived since he dies as an enemy; and b) continues to nuke Shadowheart and Astarion with his necromantic aura.

You are travelling to camp from blighted village,aren't you?
Well do not fast travel from blighted village to camp. It happened to me & I did not get perfect answer in forums. Had to reload save games, and then I decided to fast travel from somewhere else. Here is your answer.

Yep, this is correct. It's a consistent bug that occurs when travelling to camp from in the Blighted Village.

er, i rarely post and didn't really notice that as an option ever. i rarely participate in early access discussions at all. i've highlighted the answer, i think.

Same thing happened to me. Is there a platform where you can report bugs to the devs?

btw temp fix is to knock out the companion when you rest they will be back to normal

that temp fix works but the general fix is to not travel to camp from that city/area/fight posted by Amix. as far as bugs are concerned, multiple way from what i understand. the bug forum, contacting them directly, i think in game options, etc.

I just experienced this bug, except it happened when I went to camp from Druid's Grove. I am reloading but I thought it was worth mentioning

Oooo, BG3 has new class, Necromancer.
Best way to prevent this bug, is killing Asterion on sight.

Update: Had to kill the companion. I reloaded many times from many different locations but nothing worked. Something about me disarming a trap? Even though she wasn't even around?
