How to get FPS counter?

I tried using nvidia FPS counter but it won’t show up in game. What will work?

Stream---> Settings----> In-Game---->I n-game FPS counter ( Set off to the position you want it to appear on your screen )-----> Hit Ok

While Zanarkand's tip is helpful immediately, you still have a problem. Why isn't nvidia's working?
That's because the control panel is only linking to the BG3.exe and not BG3d11.exe.
To fix this just go to nvidia control panel and manually add it under the Baldur's gate profile and the nvidia stuff will work. Like fps counter and post fx etc. Also important if you feel like forcing any driver effects including the most used "power management - Prefer maximum performance"
