He got the feather fall spell activated on him somehow. Just kill him if he is not what you enjoy playing with. I dunno why people try to keep on to annoying companions.
What stat editor did you use? On Nexus?
This also lets him just focus on Cha after lvl 4 and still have a great AC to be a melee caster.
strange that he was made at my character avter we finished it and came back to camp saying that i should not have gone off and attacked goblins without him
That being said, if you play him as a regular eldritch blast spammer with agonizing and repelling blasts enabled, he's a really good range attacker.
In terms of him getting salty about you attacking the Goblins without him. It is probably due to he knows that you have killed both Fezzark (the lead goblin at the windmill) and Spike (the torturer).
As both have information that he wants. The most important being Spike. Although in Early Access it is a quest that cannot be completed due to the next step is in the Moonrise Towers.
Doesn't change the fact he kinda sucks though currently
Yeah, I'll call crap on Cambions being "too weak" as a rule. Just see Iuz from Greyhawk. https://greyhawk.fandom.com/wiki/Iuz
There is also the entire Brimestone Angels series where the Tiefling Warlock main character's patron for most of it is a Cambion.
Bad Stats
Dex 13, means he can't get a starting AC higher than around 12. Even with a friendly wizard (or wasting an invocation) putting mage armor on him... that is still AC 14. He'll both be targeted a lot and hit repeatedly. It also means he'll be failing most of his concentration checks so hex, darkness, etc. will be dropping heavily. Con of 15 means you'll almost certainly need to increase it at 4 along with his dex, meaning no charisma increase. Intelligence is wasted. Seriously, you might have to pick up medium armor feat for him (increasing only dex) just to get a reasonable AC on him (and his strength isn't great for medium armor and shield).
Bad Skills
No stealth.
Bugs
BG3 has two big warlock bugs -- the dark one's blessing can just cease to work and the devil's sight just doesn't allow seeing in magical darkness. Thus, the trick of just entering darkness and blasting away with advantage while everyone else has disadvantage to hit you (in melee) and can't target you with ranged... doesn't work.
Area Effects/Grenades
Because of the overuse of these in the game, plus his low AC, it is highly likely he'll loose concentration to the point it isn't worth pulling up. Darkness, hold person, hex, etc. are all iffy casts. You are likely force to take non-concentration spells on him -- mirror image, armor of agathys, scorching ray, misty step, etc.
Rests
They limit you to one short rest per day. This means you can't just short rest and keep up your large spells. Combined with need to typically use hex... this means you have far less spells per day over a wizard or even light domain cleric. They can typically out blast you.
Theme
He is supposedly some sort of "blade of the west" or something. He has a 9 strength and 13 dexterity. He sounds like a buffoon rushing into combat with AC 12 and a rapier (+3 attack, +1 damage). Maybe if the added variant human (and started him with a 14 dex, medium armor + shield) and had the pact of the blade option, but even then... he's borderline for melee and eldritch blast + agonizing blast is still a better option.
