yes. you need to be marked with the absolutes mark for that not to affect your character

Cursed gloves, sell them or become a slave to Absolute.

Those gloves are a nice addition to a tanky type build with either ranger or fighter as long as you have the Absolute's blessing to remove the curse portion. I use it on a zariel tiefling ranger.

A brief summary of it with a picture to fill in some blanks. For some reason the +1 AC from defense is not applied otherwise it's 21 AC and 23 with shield of faith.

It uses Shattered Flail, Absolute Warboard, Absolute Talisman, Scale Armor +1, Gloves of Power, and Spiderstep Boots. It's not unkillable, but it's extremely sturdy and fair at locking down 2 to 4 combatants. I use the spider summon to further hamper the enemy from getting at the rogue, wizard, and cleric. You'll notice that it is resistant to fire and poison making it more able to stand in a pile of aoe ground effect.

yip, you can make a really cool darknight fighter with them or cleric, Paladin. Sadly Oathbreaker is not coming to BG3 :(
