Alchemy class?
Think someone will add it via mods before the game gets out of EA?

If modding is currently feasible, I expect someone will eventually add artificers

Alchemy class is not really a thing in DND. Pathfinder has a game coming out sooner or later. that one has a class dedicated to alchemy

Alchemist is a fun Class in Pathfinder.

Alchemist, also known as "RANDOM BS POTIONS GO! -hucks a truckload of bombs-

I'd love to see that honestly, even if it were as a mod.

Alchemy in D&D was almost always a profession, that you could do on the side if you had the money, time, and int score to do it. It certainly could be set up as a caster subclass: instead of studying a book you could make X potions (and powders, and such) per day based off level or something.

I never really understood the appeal of Alchemy. That is like wanting to play a character to run a 7-11 convenience store, or playing a bank teller.

You can buy potions and hire NPCs to do the menial work. Why play one?

Before the haters start trolling, I am really trying to understand why people want the class.

My guess -- because alchemists can brew explosive potions and poor them into barrels. And some players seem to think exploding barrels to be the best thing since sliced bread...

Alchemist is an artificer subclass in 5e

For me, I like science, and alchemy is the class that uses science as a weapon. Yes, I did play pathfinder and yes, enjoyed alchemy. I was hoping someone make a class for this game that used science as a weapon instead of "magic". Go science!

It is in 5e but don't think they will add it anytime soon in BG3. It might be released as a DLC later on but idk.

Anyways Alchemist is subclass of the Artificer class in 5e. If you wanna take a look at what it looks like I'll post a link below.

Here is a free site with the class abilities of the Artificer.
