Gale's weave scene final dialog options thoughts
So I had that famous scene, and when we got to the last part of the scene, I was quite disappointed that I could not answer in a "friendly" (or best friend, or true friend, or close friend or whatever you call it) way.

I have either 2 romance answers (kiss or romantic walk), and 2 "I hate you" options (kick him and I don't remember the other one).

Am I the only one missing a more friendly option ?
If I don't want to face the "you said you'd like a romantic walk but chose astarion at the party !" deal, I have only the "think about nothing, it's too embarassing" option to not be rude to him, but he doesn't seem friendly either. Maybe that could be added for full release ?

What are your thoughts about it ?

I think that's a good idea - there should be platonic/friend-zone options for everyone

Well you could've avoided that by one step before that, when the story teller says something about intimacy. You can nope out there, I suppose, but if you don't, then it literally says "it's a good night to be intimate", no?

Kinda agree there.

Agree. It would be nice to have a "friendly hug" or "laughing together over drinks" options. Something between "I want to impale you on a spike" and "I want to kiss you."

Yes, exactly the kind of options I need. ^^ Something that let two friends spend a warm and joyful moment in these dire times without it becoming akwardly romantic. ^^

I don't remember having such an option before we get to that point in the dialog. It doesn't help that the whole "weave scene" has a vibe of "romance" due to Mystra's presence (anticipating a kiss, behing in the warm palm of Mystra, and such things they describe), but it seems even more useful for me that we'd had a "clearly wants to create a strong friendship" option, instead of the only "neutral, it's too akward option". ^^

I would have to look into my save (don't ask why I have one please) but before you get those options to choose to either be romantic or a ♥♥♥♥ towards him, the narrator says something like "you feel that Gale shares your thoughts it almost feels... intimate" or something like this. There you get an option to nope out of it

Ah, yes I see which moment you mean, but just like I said, I may want to share a comfy moment with a friend I start to hold dear. But there, it's either : you keep on with the dialog (and you have the akwards love, hate, run away answers triangle) or you end it all here, like it's too embarassing AGAIN, and nothing you can do do to have an opportunity to show Gale you appreciate the moment as a friend. :/

I know what you mean but I feel that's an issue with all of the companions... like... they all wanna do you.

You can always chose the last option (when you get intime with him during that scene). Which is to leave the weave. It wont close the door for a future romance (as you will be able to find out during other scenes) and it will allow you to be BF with Gale in case you decide, in the following scenes after that one, to continue to have him as such.

As someone that will be romancing Gale both now, and in the final game, I agree there should be platonic response options.
