No, it’s not clear. And no worries, half the players -including me- have missed it.
the description kinda hints that it wont do you any good if ur not in the religion or something but would be nice if it was explained, also i feel its something that could of been corrected alot earlier :/
i took a few months away and feel the game hasnt made much progress like its made alot in some areas but i feel other areas seem worse :/ or just as bad
It literally states it will punish heretics who use it in it's description. If half the players missed it it's because they stopped reading after reading the items mechanical effects.
in most games the description is more law than actual mechanics thats why most people read the mechanics effects over the description
This. Also ALL other items are described as Sword 2d6+1. Not ‘This sword looks kinda better than the one you previously had’
The reason people missed it is that bonuses and curses are stated CLEARLY not described. And yes, most players will read the items function not “This item was forged in the 2nd age by elves that... blah blah” To figure out it will curse dwarves somewhere from the story.
I’m not saying it’s bad or good. But you pick one as a dev and stick to it. You can’t have 99% of item descriptions useless and 1 of them with actual gameplay info. Yes, people will miss it.
