Spike and Wyll

Kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I killed Gut and all the other gobs, and came upon Spike lastly. Combat is automatically started by the goblins so my only choice is to spend the next 2 hours figuring out ways to kill everyone else and leave Spike for last. I finally did it, and spent the next 10 minutes discovering that when I use the "knock out" action I keep critical hitting him (Gale is using Hold Person on him) and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ keeps dying EVEN THOUGH THE DESCRIPTION OF KNOCK UNCONSCIOUS SAYS "If the attack would kill it, it falls unconscious instead."
Finally figure out that some one else needs to soft hand him into submission, and get him good an knocked out.
THEN! I find out that he never wakes up, and I can't "Help" him up, and the quest line is ♥♥♥♥♥♥, I may as well cut his head off with my boot.
So, I lop his head off and retrieve Wylls eyeball. Talk to him (he was part of the whole operation, I keep my homies close) and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ damns me to hell for not inviting him to the party.

What can I do to remedy this situation?
Do I need to start an entirely new game because the whole thing is screwed to hell and back?

Use Speak with the Dead on Spike. It works just fine and Wyll gets the answers he wants.

best way to do it if you have the amulet let Wyll wear it for the interrogation

If you don't have the amulet, Razglin (the boss gobbo) has two scrolls. One you can loot from him, the other is on a table near where he was standing.

Ok I just killed Spike and used a scroll to speak with his dead body and everything worked! Thank you everyone!
He still scorned me for not bringing him with, I'll assume that's a work in progress though.
I was about to give up on the game but you all kept me in the ring, thank you.

Hello, me and a friend are playing BG3 in the NEWEST update, we didn't have Wyll with us and never interacted with Spike before either but we're still trying to figure out how to get the info out of Spike.

We have no way to trigger the cut scene in the torture chamber as we already dealt with the invading forces and thusly all the gobbos are now aggored. Spike is in the same place you meet Gut for the first time and speak with dead DOES NOTHING. Moment he dies Wyll's quest proclaims it's impossible to get info out of him even though Wyll himself says "there's other ways to make a corpse talk" in a dialogue after killing him. I've been looking for answers to this ♥♥♥♥ for 3 hours now, making sure i didn't kill him with fire (that supposedly has an effect on speak with dead) and still nothing. Do you have any idea how to fix this that doesn't include restarting the whole play through?

So no matter how you try it... Wyll's quest with spike is just a piece of ♥♥♥♥ mission?

I tried without aggrooing the goblins and with Wyll in my party. I managed to walk up to his room. If you don't fight him Wyll gets pissy. If you fight him it's one of the worse ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fights Ive ever seen in a videogame.
