Severely Confused About Druid Grove
I was going to side with the tieflings so I killed Kagha for Zevlor but when I killed her it just randomly said Zevlor is dead and I can't get a reward for it. Why the actual hell is he dead... I don't understand what happened?? He's just randomly dead.

Not only this but after misleading Minthara about where the grove is then agreeing to help her (to pretend and backstab).... I come back to camp and literally everyone is massacred except a tiefling in a house and a druid in front of a door. I can't get in the house because it's locked, but the druid says "We won, but at what cost?" ...can someone please tell me what happened? It's like an entire event occurred without me, the actual player, being there. Am I stupid bruh???? I assume the druids finished their little ritual and killed the tieflings but why did this happen when I killed Kagha and wasn't there?

Or can you not decide what to do with the goblin bosses without 100% finishing your choices in the grove otherwise it will play out by itself?

Or did I miss crucial cutscenes because of a bug that skipped them or something

The tiefling says thank god I survived that potion really helped thanks....I DONT KNOW WHAT SHES TALKING ABOUT

if you attack kagha, all the druid will attack the tiefling , if you take to much time to kill her, all the tiefling will die from the druird outside. as they are not in turn base mod when you engage kagha, you have to HURRY to save them all. cuz the time is not on pause outside and the tiefling are getting slauthered

he did not randomply die , he got kill by druid outside.

you indeed, bugged it hard. after that.

You can't do it that way without causing the druids to attack all the outsiders in the grove (this includes the tiefling refuges. You will need to investigate Kagha further to open up the opportunity you are looking for... however, it requires playing through this act of the campaign much further.

There has to be more role-play opportunities coming... I can see the holes they are missing... and considering all the the broken spells/skills/dialog... I think there is a lot being left out of the early access... so we don't spoil the game for ourselves... likely lots more interactive options the closer to full release we get.

Strange... I didn't know that killing Kagha meant the Druids would slaughter everyone I wish that was made clear :winter2019angrysnowman:

Yeah I guess it bugged after that because my quests continued to say save the tieflings, warn them about the goblins, protect them, as if they were still alive somewhere with two single tieflings still alive saying nothing lol... Then when I attacked with Minthara well there was no battle it just quick-cut to her saing thanks for the help and ruling the grove. It's early access so I understand I was just so confused and wish I knew killing her meant the tieflings end or that there was a real timer going on

For sure I mean this is like a quarter or what of the actual full game and a lot of things might change! It forces me to make decisions I usualy don't in these types of games anyway so that's fun to an extent haha

I defeated Kagha several times in all my 7 games so far.
For first three games I always failed to save Arabella.
And I lost it. Attacked Kagha & Rath turned hostile. Had to defeat him & several ordinary enemies, including rats.
And outside Druids never know what happened inside. Everybody was acting normal. LOL
Maybe that is because I am ranger (LOL just kidding)
But for fourth game, I explored area completely since I had saved Arabella.
And now I had an opportunity to defeat Kagha with story mode.
Did that. And got a really cool gloves from Zevlor.
That is how you do it.
Success in persuasion to progress.
Even if you have to reload game 10 times.

its way better to uncover the truth about the shadow druids and make kagha go from arch druid to novice. its a wrost punishement then death

there is even 2 out come possible with this if you save halsin prior of doing this

when the druid classe will be playable we wil be able to join the shadow druid also(I hope)

Another thing that worked for me was: Didn’t kill her (I like her anyway), didn’t talk to Zevlor, killed all the goblins cause they had the healer I needed. Came back n I’m a hero.

Pft!

You could do it that way

Also: what a mess. Shouldn’t have half the NPCs die within the player even knowing.

Honestly I'm not willing to risk it all by demolishing the Goblin Camp... I'm just so convinced that it's gonna be too hard that I just dont wanna and am tryna figure out the best other way lmao

I didn't save Arabella (not that I wanted her to die mind you it just happened that way) But I killed Kagha FOR Zevlor as part of the QUEST n STORY all the same and it didn't work bc he was magically dead for some reason!

I suppose a small cutscene as you exit the main chambre immediately after killing Kagha with the remaining 'unfriendly' druids questioning you as to why Rath ran out with his wolf, as well as hearing a disturbance might give players an idea of what implications can occur for said actions rather than them turning insta hostile offscreen. Make it another high roll on dialogue to BS your way through, with failing giving the current outcome.

Or you could have a cutscene later after returning from killing the goblins (if that is your plan at least) with the druids turning hostile or questioning you since they found out Kagha was killed without their knowledge and they put two and two together about you. You could probably manipulate the Druids into 'purging' the grove if you are siding with the goblins (I mean you can sort of already do that anyway).

Honestly though, expect every major action in this game to have some sort of consequence, be it good or bad. The amount of times Ive ended up accidentally killing someone or having them die off screen is quite common, Ive had to make a playthough where I do not allow myself to reload saves if an outcome doesnt go the way I want it to because otherwise I'd just be reloading nonstop lol Your run was just unlucky enough to have Zevlor die because of said consequences.

Okay so I definitely did NOT get that cutscene after killing Kagha! Lmao

Na man, there is no cutscene, I was suggesting it! It might have made the situation less confusing.

to start the fight with in your own settings - just shove the idol they pray to - shove it and shove it again until its close the place zevlor hang out at - then steal it.

the druids will go mad and start a fight but youll already be where you want to be, ready to protect zevlor.

kargha will die and all the other druids too. one of the most fun fights in the game so far if only ikaron wasnt bugged to not do anything - but still take his full turns.
