pact of chain imp is op maybe?
so i am at the goblin base and i decided to try and be sneaky about killing the goblin leaders already killed the drow and the shaman and only got the warboss left. somehow killing the drow alerted the entire base to me being "unfriendly" so i hid my entire party and had wyll and my pc cast imps who then went invisible and flew right past the guards and then stung the warboss recast invisibility move and rinse and repeat until the boss was dead my party took 0 damage and lost one imp whose replacement was resummoned and sent in. i think this is a lil broken and tbh i didnt think it would work. thoughts and opinions

I mean, you were creative and it required a specific set of party members to pull off. The devs could easily negate it by simply adding someone with true sight, but I dont see why you shouldnt be rewarded for the extra effort. After all, it is not something every party composition can do.

Similar acts can be done with invisible mage hands. If you have giths they start with it.

stealth in this game is seems so op for fights and might need a update. with a thief with 2 bounus action points you can poke, disengage and hide in one turn, and if you party is all hidden foes just stand and pass turn 90% of the time. I would like to see a patroling system for foes to find there attackers if everyone is hiding. as for invis other then a detection check or bumping into foes reviling you I cant see any way to balance it. as for infinite summons I have no clue how to balance this

As written, this does not work. Sting and invisibility are both actions. But sting - fly out of vision cone - hide, next turn invisible - move back repeat works. So does Arcane Trickster (and therefore invisible) mage hand against enemies high up or near dangerous surfaces, and the Beast Master ranger can send in Giant Spiders jumping in to support/web other enemies to isolate your target.

It’s still much weaker than DOS2 summoning, though, since only Mage Hand can be recast once combat is joined.

*Shrug* Things are all kinds of wonky in this game - many Mage cantrips outperform Eldritch Blast. Ray of Frost can prone. Fire Bolt leaves a burning surface, Acid Splash an acid one to lower enemy AC. At this point in EA with the level cap in place and a 1x/day limit on short rests, let the Warlock have something going for them.

i just had the imp hover there for the turn so i could recast invisibility it seemed like they missed a vast majority of the time

If you’re doing that you can just invis. approach and sting sting sting. As long as the rest of your party isn’t close sting repeat resummon when dead works fine.

As written, Mage Hand can't push/shove enemies down, but it can in this game. Using as written don't work since nearly everything don't work as written.

I meant, the thing the OP wrote that they did can’t be done in game. Subsequent comment from the OP clarified what they did.

I was not referencing 5e rules as written.

I literally killed the whole blighted village goblin band with my ranger. Hid the party well, went in one shot, wait till the patrol returns rinse and repeat. I only switched to full party attacks after culling them because it was slow. Also is how i have looted the whole goblin treasury then i bought all the items i needed from the trader. Payed for it with their old gold then killed them:D (Have to check back for the gold though as i went underdark now)
