It’s still much weaker than DOS2 summoning, though, since only Mage Hand can be recast once combat is joined.
*Shrug* Things are all kinds of wonky in this game - many Mage cantrips outperform Eldritch Blast. Ray of Frost can prone. Fire Bolt leaves a burning surface, Acid Splash an acid one to lower enemy AC. At this point in EA with the level cap in place and a 1x/day limit on short rests, let the Warlock have something going for them.
As written, Mage Hand can't push/shove enemies down, but it can in this game. Using as written don't work since nearly everything don't work as written.
I was not referencing 5e rules as written.
I literally killed the whole blighted village goblin band with my ranger. Hid the party well, went in one shot, wait till the patrol returns rinse and repeat. I only switched to full party attacks after culling them because it was slow. Also is how i have looted the whole goblin treasury then i bought all the items i needed from the trader. Payed for it with their old gold then killed them:D (Have to check back for the gold though as i went underdark now)
