Does BG3 or DnD have a Fire Warrior type of class ?
I tried to look into DnD data but I failed to find anything relevant to that question.
In most games if possible, I try to play as a warrior able to enhance his attacks with flame spells (GW1, Skyrim, DOS2 etc.).

It's a theme I really like but I don't know if it exists within the DnD universe and rules.

Best bet would probably be eldrict knight, that’s basically a fighter/mage hybrid. You can definitely augment your fighting skills with magic, but not sure if there is any flame spells available that augment yourself though!?

Thanks, I'll give it a look.

I may be mistaken (I don't have the game yet) but it looked like you could mix some spells kinda like Divinity ? I'm not sure at all on that one, still if I can make a melee fighter with a fiery greatsword that'd be amazing :GATuriel::sunglassesDoge:

No :D Not specifically... you can play multiclass or dual-class and combine yourself with some sort of caster class. You can coat your weapons or you can play several subclasses which give you magic/element attacks as warrior. But I am unaware about existence of Fire Warrior. Of course in home DnD, you can make whatever you like :D There are classes out of ordinary rulebooks which are connected to different words than Forgotten Realms and homebrew stuff, but generally nope.

EDIT: you can make a warrior which have a magical weapon that does fire damage - absolutely. There are no limits to magical items. As for now since it is a 5e, the magical items are usually toned down compared to 2e and 3e. As I said, you can coat your weapon and use plenty of stuff combined together. Not sure what you mean by mixing some spells, if you mean combining spellbooks to create something like "Vampiric" stuff in Divinity or if you mean by combining different abilities to create certain effect on the battlefield. You cannot to the first if I'm not wrong but you can do the latter of course.

Sounds good !

I was mainly thinking of some extra spells like as you said, empowering the melee weapon with flames and a few spells like melee AoE fire, a fireball but nothing crazy like a true wizard.

Just to give you an example, Guild Wars 1 had the dual class system and that's how I came to really enjoy that character style.

Currently there are no spells available that let you enhance or create a weapon with fire, but if you're fine with just a fiery themed frontliner then Light domain cleric might be able to sate your itch. Fire is one of the major themes of the class (although not the only one). It gets Faerie Fire and Burning Hands for free at level 1, and then at level 3 you can pick up Scorching Ray as well.

There's a Barbarian subclass who kinda harnesses the power of the climate. One of its options is "Desert" which gives you some fire-themed abilities. That said, Barbarian isn't in the game yet and I'm not sure if that subclass will be implemented as it's not from the Player's Handbook. Spoilers, but it's also not nearly as cool in practice as it sounds in theory.

Your best bet would probably be the Eldritch Knight. Either way, you're not really gonna get anything even remotely close to the Warfare/Pyrokinetic combo of DOS2. Loved playing that one.

Not presently in the game and unsure if it'll make it in (was in a sourcebook WOTC has shied away from), but there's a cantrip called green flame blade that enhances a normal attack action with fire.
