when does he appear? I cannot long rest because "a party member currently cannot go to camp (the dead one)"

I'm thinking he'll appear after a cutscene from going to camp. I haven't unlocked him in camp yet

if you unlocked him from the abandoned temple ruins, he's immediately available at the camp. When a party member is dead, to go to the camp, open your map and click on camp on the fast travel menu. To exit, just open the map again and click leave camp

You have to complete the dungeon that shadow heart is trying to get into when you find her.

I seriously hope its not random though, I had 3 revivify from him on my both playthroughs, maybe it was lucky, maybe he always have them, I dunno.

Can you give feedback if he indeed had 3 with you as well? Will increase my lore checks on similar questions later on!

I only had to use a couple of revive scrolls and never used the lich zombie to revive in 24h play through. Of course if your whole team dies you just reload and do better.

Oh and I suck at combat in this game.

See, I am exactly the opposite, had to use a scroll maybe 2 times at max and I mostly soloed my fights on my first playthrough with my ranger. Now the second one is going a bit different, but so far so good. I am decided to skip most of the fights with my higher charisma, because I am playing a warlock, so we shall see.

But I also have an extensive experience with rpgs and also Larian, so I know how to exploit and use every tool there is to my benefit, so there is that.
