How do I make my party members STAND STILL and wait for further orders?
I can't seem to find an action for them to just stay still without going into turn-based mode and looking it up has been fruitless.

Well I did find out you can keep the party still if you put someone into Hide mode and move them like that.

So at least Stealth and Recon is viable.

You want to move a character to a specific area and leave them there until ready? If so, you can unchain them from each other by pulling their portrait away from the others. A little space will appear.
