Are gamers getting dumber?

I don't own the game since. But I was able to read and comprehend the information the devs provided. And for me, the main reason for not buying yet is not the price tag but I would like to enjoy a complete game. And I fully trust Larian. DOS2 is imo the best rpg I ever played.

That said, what the hell is up with these threads here? I am just following for fun and boy is there a lot of crap to read.

- You can have female character with beard and manly voice? You CAN, you don't have to. Who the hell even cares? Omg.
- just now a guy posted, Larian is lazy cause so far there is only English language. Like, how dense are you? It's an EA, they will change and adapt a lot, of course they are not going to focus on that now and then rehire all the speakers when they have to change stuff.
- oh the price tag. Everybody angry about the price tag. Then why did you buy it? I read the FAQ, I saw it was about 25h content and I saw the price tag. Buying and then complaining is outerwordly stupid. Not buying and still complaining is also stupid. It's an EA and not finnished, noone forces you to give Larian money. And in any case, you get the full game when released.
- it's not RTwP waaa waaa waaa. This was always clear. I never played the old BG but I still knew this game will be TB. Why should they not have the freedom to try something different for the franchise? It's been 20 years. Again: don't like it, don't buy.

So many other things. But most people here sound like spoiled and especially uninformed little brats who didn't get the toy they wished for their birthday. I have rarely seen so many crybabies, and I've definitely never seen so many crybabies over an EA. What happened people?

Yes the people commenting this stuff are single digit IQ, some of them I recognise by name because they spend literally all day every day on this forum just trying to trash the game at every opportunity. Just sad people with no lives.

Ask yourself the question why you posted this. You're just trying to reel in the fanboys and starting a bandwagon against everyone that dislikes the game.

Of course there are going to be many unfounded irrationally frustrated posts on the Steam forums. This always happens, especially in EA(no idea what makes you think people are less hostile towards EA games - from my experience it has always been the opposite). Yet there are also many unfounded irrationally frustrated posts about going against aforementioned posts. Yours for example.

I really wanted it to be more like Baldurs gate 1/2, Icewind Dale etc but it's not. I got over it. I mean I'm not really much for turn based games (even though I've played plenty) but this game is great. Can't wait to see what the game will be like in a few months!

well, most games these days are being made to appeal to the unthinking bleating masses, because thats how you make a profit, and this seems to be no exception. so yes you could say gamers are getting dumber. or that more stupid people are getting into gaming, while in the past gaming was more reserved for "geeks" and "incels"

The game is under troll attack because it's associated with Wizards of the Coasts. Its them that are being blamed for being "Social Justice Warrior" (SJW - I had to look it up yesterday) and "woke", which is considered the same thing by the trolls for convenience (and to lessen the mental workout I guess).
Its mostly incel and right wing extremist forums that decided to have a bit of a crack at something together. It's just what they do. It is "a thing" these days.
