glowing chest found how to open?

i found a chest in a cave and there was a statue nearby. i found a note something to do with the chest and opening it to get the moon goddesses bounties. when i try to open the gilded chest it kills me. anyone know how to open the chest? thanks!

To open it, jump across the water and go behind the statue. If you pass the perception check, you will find a prayer sheet on the ground. Take that and the use it while next to the chest. It will unlock.

Something else to note is casting light(cleric ability?) on it seems to allow you to open it.

I just beat it open with my axe. worked all the same

*cough* i used mage hand to smash it to the ground a few times. Opened just fine.

It took me a while as well-glad it worked. I only figured it out because I was running around with the chest in my inventory and went back to the Owlbear cave to explore.

What's there in the chest? Few gold pieces and a cheap jewel?

Stuff dealing with the Goddess statue nearby. If you bring Shadowheart with you, you'll get a brief cutscene and some dialogue options.

Like the light cantrip spell? Huh. Going to have to test that in the future now.
