Anyone managed to craft an item yet?
we get that alive elder brain from the ship and it seems to be combinable with different items ina forge or a workbench, which means that there might actually be some crafting in this game. anyone managed to find a correct combination?

Yep, pressed right mouse on broken spear shaft > picked combine option > added spear tip and it combined into a spear.

Crafting is turned off for now, notice there is a button for it on your compass? That said certain objects that you craft with can open their specific crafting window, still turned off.
I've been saving all my mats, on the hope that when it is patched in, that saves are still compatable. That way I can test it right away without having to find all the ingredients in 20 hours of gameplay.

I found a scroll saying three weapons require a certain bark to craft them, and a recipe book for a potion.

You can craft at least four special weapons, but general crafting seems not ingame atm.

You need to find the forge or crafting workbench, both of which are available under Blight Village.

So this was one of the reasons on my run through I basically sent everything to the Camp. I figured crafting would come up sooner or later.

Not able to craft anything as of yet but found an underground house with a ton of crafting equipment. Forges, anvil, and workbenches. One good thing about find this area was I was able to pick up a ton of weapons. I will say the forge is pretty sweet. Just wish I could have done something while I was there.

yes, you get the shaft off a dead midget, and the head of the spear from the owlbear that he died to. It's a rare quality spear (blue border) also in the blighted village, there's a recipe book that tells you mats for three weapons.

I have crafted some potions in the druid grove.

Sassur bark recipe is non-craftable at this point, which is really annoying.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Yep, pressed right mouse on broken spear shaft > picked combine option > added spear tip and it combined into a spear.

Ah, now that's worth knowing, thank-you!

Didn't realise you had to add the <base weapon> to the combine *after* the initial interaction.
