Casting sleep while on sneak triggers battle
So I thought that you could cast sleep while sneaking but when I tried it immediately triggered a battle and the two goblins I put to sleep immediately woke up and were able to attack. No other enemies were nearby. I am not sure if this is a bug or if this is part of the rules of D&D.

Yeah nah this is just how it is in rules of 5e. There are some spells you can cast without breaking stealth though. The reason for this is that some spells require vocal components,so naturally yelling out arcane words would just give yourself away.

Oh okay, got it. It just seemed weird that they would immediately wake up though and were able to attack. Kind of limits what you can do with that spell.

they should put the details in the spell on how it is cast, with movement (it is more dicret with this, or vocal, with no discretion)

If the spell was cast and they were under the HP cap of the spell, they should have gone to sleep and stayed that way for a minute (just sound won't wake you from a sleep spell)
