Is warlock Invocation Fiendish Vigor working

Is warlock Invocation Fiendish Vigor (False Life) working as it doesn't appear to do anything looking at character sheet?

ie I cast it and the spells says it adds 5 HP BUT on my Character sheet it says my Max HP has increased; except I am still showing the same HP as before and no temp ones either.

Not sure if it's a display bug or just not working

I had the same issue. It also didn’t take any damage. I used the spell and my health was still 17/17 and when I got hit I went down to 11/17 on a 6 damage hit
