It gets better in the level 3-5 range, when you get a subclass, feat, and attack upgrades.
As a level 3 Rogue I can fire an arrow or use Pin Down... that is it. As a lvl 3 Rogue (Scoundrel) in DoS I could leap+backstab, gain AP, pin down, ricochet shot arrows, throw grenades, put someone to sleep, throw knives, and tons more options depending on points spent when leveled up.
BG3 seems a huge step backwards, but I'll reserve judgement until I see more.
Thanks for the explanation. How does that makes it any better? I can explain how paint dries... doesnt make it any more exciting.
Phew, not alone then.
Why do some people prefer x over y in most genre's - it's usually due to more than wanting a 1 line answer, but short version - people like different things - maybe even different to what you like - shocking huh.
