Baldur's Gate 3

Baldur's Gate 3

Statistiche:
No Karen, you don't deserve the game for cheaper because of your choices.
Honestly, the sheer amount of entitlement from some people here is mind boggling.

You are getting the full game when it is released. You are being given the option to engage with it at an early stage. I fail to see why they should be out of pocket because of your choices. If you don't like it, wait. Hell, the amount you people are complaining because you're apparently priced out suggests that early access is a privilege and they should charge extra for that.

Whenever you pay for something there is always a risk of loss as small as it can be nothing is absolute it's only a matter of how much risk you're comfortable taking in your purchases. Those who complain about the price really complain over nothing, as if they feel a desire to purchase it but can't find it in themselves to justify the risk that it may not be the product that will fully satisfy them. The answer is really as simple as if you're not comfortable spending this much for an early access don't do it, it's really pointless to cry over the price tag, it's there it won't go away no matter how many post you make about it.

I’ll buy the game eventually after it gets some polish, but paying the full price is not worth it at this point.
It's almost like that's exactly how it works. Buy the game WHEN YOU WANT TO. Nobody's being forced to buy it now

You can say the same about any failed product out there. I'm not saying BG3 will fail, but if the company’s goal is to get its customers to spend money, Larian Studios has to provide an appealing offer first and full price for an early access is not it.

Fanboys will always delude themselves and try and justify their full price beta test, that’s why they create threads like this because they are genuinely in denial and need reassurance.

No, it's to inform entitled people, like you.

You chose to go early access. That choice doesn't mean they should be out of pocket. If you have any other questions, please consult your contract of employment with Larian. It should be located next to the flying pigs at your girlfriend's house in the land of make believe.

This is honestly the most misguided fanboy post I've seen today.

Early Access is not a 'privilige'. You are basically a QA tester, providing software testing service free of charge. You are a collection of player data, usable to improve the game and drive future development in order to appeal to the largest player segment. This reduces the chance of very negative feedback down the line and thus the risk on their R.O.I.

You also take a risk, albeit a small one, that the studio driops development and cashed in on an unfinished product or simply goes belly up.

So, yes, early access should not be priced at full retail price. This isn't an entitlement. Go suck a bag of ♥♥♥♥♥, Becky.

I'm not seeing anything here that means they should be punished for your decisions. It's pretty safe to assume that if you'd buy it during EA, then you would buy it on launch, hence all offering it at a discount would just cost them money for absolutely no reason. If you think that's the right way to do things, please back up your argument with a video of you burning cash.

It is entitlement actually. You are saying they should lose money because you were too impatient to wait for release. Also, this is a transaction. If you don't like the price, don't buy. Simple as that. This isn't like insulin or something like that which is vital for life, this is a luxury good. I should post this to r/choosingbeggars Karen.
