Stuck on the beach after ship crash [BUG]
I can not do any actions (when I select them, my character simply idles for couple of seconds), can't talk to the dying Mindlayer, do any actions and, judging from the streams I've seen -- I'm missing a good bunch of corpses at the beach and also have 0 enemies.

When I try to save the game I get "Mid-dialogue saves are disabled" message. But I'm literally engaged in no dialogue and can walk around.

I reckon this is a bug? But how do I solve it? Upon restarting from the autosave prior to teleportation cutscene nothing changes -- I get the same problem,

I solved this bug.
Just switch the game to directx 11.
Worked for me.

I'm already on DX 11 tho
Had to reload an earlier save and finish the "run to the console" section again. A cutscene then played and fixed things.

Done it twice. The problem persists

Had the same issue, but I just got through it by lowering my graphic's settings. The Cut scene was what was causing the issue for me I think.

Tried:
- Reloading Autosave and doing "run to the console" segment 3rd time
- Switching to Vulkan trying the section again, then switching to DX and doing it once more
- Setting key bindings to default
- Saving just prior to activating the Transporter and heading to the beach

Number of completed "Transporter sections" = 6
Bug status = still there

Switched Display Mode to Fullscreen from Fake Fullscreen and the problem was solved.

Apparently I wasn't getting the Beach crash ctuscene with the goblin band -- I was always just spawning at the beach before.

Oh hey I just hit this issue, I also have no had any cutscene with a goblin band.

I am on Vulkan and Fullscreen, I'll try DX11...

I don't think this bug is area specific as we are a few hours in, at the first town

For some reason, if you go to your map then click Camp while on the beach, it appears to prompt the cut-scene that's supposed to take place after the quest Escape the Nautilus. I'm on DXII (as opposed to Vulcan) with super low graphics settings & windowed (vs fullscreen or fake fullscreen). My husband used this work around on Vulcan with high graphics settings & fullscreen and it also worked for him. This worked for us whether we used our PC or the NPCs to interact with the transponder at the helm. Make sure you save after as the cutscene does not prompt an autosave.

Thanks for sharing! This seems like the most useful workaround for now.
Shame I can't pin it as the answer at the top.
