wonder if they had to tone it down in exchange for facial animations in cutscenes (lame trade-off, kinda wish cutscenes weren't even a thing) or if proper character creation is gonna be a full release thing
Because it's everywhere! /s
Anyway, Divinity didn't do much better in the human faces department outside of 2D art, so this really doesn't seem to be the studio's strong suit
Cutscenes are the best. Can't stand watching unfinished scenes play out from above, it takes away some life from the characters, no gestures, mimics, no face reactions. I dont think it was a tradeoff, rather than that they didn't put much emphasis on some races faces
Actual fifth grader mindset
Well, because it's a rather random comment paired with "ugly faces" in BG3. That's like calling white bread racist because it's rather common.
More importantly, people see SJW stuff in pretty much everything these days. It's slowly starting to hurt and not the fun kind.
My spider sense is telling me this thread will be locked down sooner rather than later. Please do.
Still, lack of choice in-game is still not a SJW thing. Keep in mind, it's still in EA and there's still not everything in yet. If it were, then, I guess it's a fair point to whomever it concerns but for most people, if not the majority, they couldn't care less.
If the thing one's looking for or expecting is not in yet, they should either wait until it's in or adapt to what's already there. It's really not that hard or that big of a deal, to be honest. Most people really just need an excuse to vent their issues or whatever, especially here it would seem, be heard in some capacity and call it a day.
There are better alternatives to that. Adding to that, it's actually pretty stupid to debate stuff like that in game forums.
I myself don't give a goblin or two but it's really starting to piss me off to some degree.
As for the limited amount of faces, much like pretty much everything else in the EA, Larian are reserving the majority for release (I'm pretty sure Sven has said there will be more faces on release)
