Also, one companion is a githyanki, but yeah, I would like some more variety among the companions since we already have two humans. Baldur's Gate is one of the most diverse cities on the Sword Coast, so I bet there will be some other race companions too.
hate the red eye arguements. In lore their eye colors very they only turn red, like goblins, orcs, and other creatures do to the chemicals/magical nature of there inherient dark vision. For proof red the Dark elf series by RA Salvatore where most drow had eye color though far different then human eye color in a wider range. Drizzt himself had purple eyes. (no drizzt should not be in this game!)
As for romance or soft core porn in a video game it adds to the immersion, is a plot hook to lure you in and make you start caring about the characters. Plus realistically going on wild adventures as a free spirited or even forced adventurer you build up stress. Stress is often relieved even in modern day by drinking, smoking, bumping uglies (which can allevate alot of stress. Or cause more) listening to music etc. So in ways it makes sense to have romance options in game to aid in immersion. Hopefully they do it properly, and not have Skyrim quaility, or even worse yet Mount & blade series styles of 'Romance??' to name two.
uhm. this is not true. I happen to be female and know many female gamers. I am very excited that there is romance in Baldurs Gate 3. I think relationships really add to the immersion in a game.
glad to hear they dont tolerate that nonsense and banned him. :)
For me, I enjoy a good romance, it does givemy RP experience a bit more character development, but thats just me.
my memory might be a little off, but didn't Aerie lose some ♥♥♥♥ when protagonist slept with dark elf during their romance arc?
very good questions. Now I'm curious as well, and we have over 48 hours before we may get an answer. some may get it sooner, but I'll be stuck in character creation. Gotta get Winky's meatsuit looking just right.
Hmmm, true he could be Serune drow, though honestly that whole Lloth sworn vs Serune drow is a bloody pain in the posterior. The amount of years coupled with each house taking other houses drow into their beds, houses, etc would thin out the true born. Even the Arch mage of Mezorbarean who is a Baenre eyes weren't red, and nor was that of his offspring.
edited though it may also be do to a retcon by WoTC I've fallen out in lore do to fact I'm not a big fan of editions after 3.5
now I have to go look up Seldarine... from my knowledge be that as it may, mostly book knowledge, and source books Selune was the other goddess of the Drow. Not sure who or what this wench Seldarinne is trying to muscle in on Selunes turf.
Ahh, thanks. Long elven names go right out of my head.
From books most of the Seldarine have given up on Drow letting Lloth do her thing, Selune though did have drow followers? this from books outside of D&D source books, so should be canon but might not be.
I've never actually heard of any other Goddess/God supporting the drow other then Lloth, and Selune.
