Here, GOG, or somewhere else where do you plan on getting BG3 from?
Title, just wondering where people were planing on getting this and why?

Me I was debating between here for ease and most of my games are here, or GOG just because of no DMR and the option to use earlier builds latter on incase of patches messing with mods.

Steam, I think, don't know yet. I use both and I have DoS2 on gog, but all of my Baldurs Gate games are here,I never had any issues with gog galaxy client, but I kinda prefer the UI of steam. Still haven't decided.

Does anyone know the exact % that steam and gog take for themselves?

Both are 30%

Yeah, I don't have any incentive to prefer GoG over Steam for now at least then. Lets wait and see, but for now I think Steam will do.

Steam i think is good for workshop support. GoG for DRM free.
Humblebundle storefront i believe gives 90% to devs (5% to humble, 5% to charity) so you could go for that and still get a steam key if it comes to humble but i have no idea if it will or if they sell EA games there
Going to be getting it here. Everything in one place is nice.

thats what the new gog galaxy client is for. to have gog, steam, origin, etc. in one place.

For added info, ever since registering a stadia username, theyve been trying to sell me a game by stating i get $10 off of my next purchase.

Going to be interesting to see if i can apply that to bg3 or not
Can't say for sure but probably steam or gog or gog and than steam (get both DOS and DOS 2 that way :DSTskull:)

I'll get it on GOG because I'm not happy with steam's new social media centered resource heavy client.
do i have another client? what is social media centered in steam? (honest question, because i hate so much about social media)
I'll just skim over things because I don't want to disrupt the thread.
- There's the "top shelf" that allows devs to push out any "important" announcement directly to your library. Most of the announcements I've gotten have not been about games I own, but advertisements for a game that is being made by a dev whose game I do own. I see this as similar to having a Twitter account forced on me.
- Even if you check "Disable Community Content" you still see what people on your friends list have done in a game and it can include spoilers.
That's just the "highlights" and I have no doubt steam will continue to go in this direction.

There are more than 2 Larian games.

Gog, if they still have early access. Although, https://isthereanydeal.com/ is the best legit site to get discounted steam games so I'll miss saving cash on a discounted game. However I always get my games on gog if they are not steam exclusives and if I know better.

In the far past Gog used to get patches 24 hours late so it would be interesting to see how their early access is going to shake out.

GoG, no question. If I'm ever given the choice, I don't even need to consider it.
here on steam because i love taking screenshots and achievements . also, steam has the workshop and my divinity original sin 2 is on steam and i love to mod my games after my first vanilla playthrough so eventually this game will have mod support and steam has the workshop.

Steam mostly for ease espcially when modding comes and i assume it will get workshop support.

Damn... didn't even think about that, GoG was a no brainer until reading that i wish GoG had easy modding i would be fine with nexus if i knew all mods on steam would be on nexus but it isn't.
