That sucks. Larian should focus on "Fantasy RPG" foremost. Skyrim has 5-10mill player on Steam. Thats probably the size of their potential market. They are trying to be too epic.
But no one did, so stop with your hate speech everywhere!
There a link for this? I had been wondering the same question as the other guy too and apparently haven't seen whatever announcement is being referenced.

TL;DR: they are changing the Drow/Dark Elves lore to defy racism
Interesting surely, particularly when taking it rather from a real world social context to the roleplay implications of giving even more freedom to construct and be able to play exactly the character you want.
I remember years back playing EQ2, one of my greatest pleasures was creating and playing through the game for several levels as one of the most 'odd' or outside-the-box combinations I could think up, which was playing as a huge ogre dirge (kind of a bardish rogue class as I recall). I got everything from PC's stopping in their tracks just staring at me to many funny private /tells & comments over it, but it was fun to play something that completely broke the proverbial mold of what everyone considered more 'normal'.
Why the hell do you even care?
Next companion will be a transgender coconut that identifies with a plane just to spite you, didn't you know? /facepalm
... Now I want to see what Larian could do with a character that is a transgender coconut that identifies with a plane x)
