Thats true but they kill and enslave focus plus they are in domination a lot more than plain SM

All situational

Not exactly. Really, any race that gives +2 Dex or +2 Con is already top tier. There is literally no class that doesn't use Dex and Con. Even a heavy armor wearing Fighter uses Dex since most saving throws are Dex based.

And obviously Con since you kinda need that to be alive. Con is also the only stat that scales with you in level.

i think we can condense this thread to: there is no best race, just some races are less optimal for some classes. check what class you want and which races boost their main stats and dex is almost always good and con is always good.

This is why I mentioned Tabaxi. They have some of the most useful traits that can be used by most classes, plus they come with +2 Dex

I think many players have another favourite Races. My favourite are Drow or Human. I don't like play dwarves or halflings to play.

But i think i was a big time in see all races in my gameplay and choice after i see all races. But i think i create a drow or a human.

I've narrowed my choices down to a good character and an evil character, with evil being my first playthrough.

I'll be playing a drow wizard as my evil playthrough and a halfling cleric for my 2nd.

If Neverwinter Nights 1 servers remind me of anything is that everyone plays Drow, no matter if its actually good or not.

But this is not a pseudo MMO with 100-people servers, so you dont need to worry about the droves of drow (ha!) when in town.

Uh, they get one extra cantrip. If you want more spells you are better of playing a variant human and take the magic initiate feat or ritual caster, or perhaps even Spell Sniper.
(Asuming that feats will be implemented ofc.)

Lol, someone before you made a very similar claim but with a different explanation. "5e isnt really popular its all just because of DnD streamers."
5e is the most popular edition because milions of people thinks its fun. Seing something you think is cool in a show doesnt make people stick with DnD unless the game also happens to be fun.
You are simply incorrect and probably just salty because you happen to be in the minority in your view of what DnD ought to be.
