Tiefling Horns and eyes
Newest character creation showed a much more 'human' Tiefling, with no horn/brow and human eyes.
This is much further from the source material and a bit disapointing for those who like the more 'authentic' tiefling especially from what we have seen. I understand those who want a more human character and when you have something like D&D making the character you want is much more important.
I really hope this is more of options and not the new tiefling design

As I was afraid they are going more "human" route rather than "authentic" way of depicting the tiefling, a while ago I made a topic about this issue but seems nobody give a F***. Its make me sad tbh but gonna get game anyway, hope some modders in far future will fix this.

First of all, what's the reason for making modification to the original appearance? Does it look better in general according to market research? Or perhaps cost cutting?

I thought Tiefling appearance could range from almost human to blatantly demonic, would make sense for at least one preset to show a more human-like Tiefling...

To take up this topic again.

I see here that there are a lot of Tiefling subspecies.
Bloodline of- Asmodeus, -Baalzebul, -Devil's Tongue, -Dispater, -Fierna, -Glasya, -Levistus, -Mammon, -Mephistopheles, -Winged and Zariel.

So if Tieflings could even be blue / green in addition to red / black, then wings or Horns.

I would be very disappointed if you make them starkly human in the boring way.

With these bloodlines, they would also have different attribute bonuses and body features.

Subspecies would be fantastic but i totally get limitations need to be put onto things like that compared Paper or finding character art. 3d models on this type of thing would take so much time its not even worth it. Like i said i have ZERO issues with customization but if they are going to make only one type in terms of looks i would prefer it to be Asmodeus vs just a human with really generic looking horns and pointy ears.

From a lore perspective Asmodeus or Zariel are the tieflings we will most likely see

Presumably horn structure and eye color are changeable in the character creator. It's to be hoped, at least.

tieflings can have both obvious, as well as completely hidden features, thats part of the offical forgotten realms lore.

this is as close to source as a videogame can replicate

It can't be that difficult to create a basic male / female form, with different details and colors on it, and saving values in addition to the +2 on charisma, plus +1 strength, intelligence, willpower and agility?

The Dreanai in WoW also have some standard helmets with the same openings where all helmets fit, or the horns are simply flattened out (the latter being very unrealistic).

If you have a body, you could optionally add hooves to it, later make it a little smaller with different details and turn it into satyrs as opponents / NPCs?
